GA4 Consultant for Accurate Website & Ecommerce Analytics

I'm Aminul Islam Emon, a Web Analytics & Server-Side Conversion Tracking Specialist. As a GA4 consultant, I implement, audit and troubleshoot Google Analytics 4 for businesses that need reliable website analytics, ecommerce tracking and conversion measurement, so the numbers you report and optimise on reflect what actually happened.

    • GA4 setup & configuration

    • Google Tag Manager integration
    • Purchase & revenue tracking

Why businesses need proper GA4 implementation

GA4 only reports what it receives. When events are missing, duplicated or sent with the wrong values, reports look complete but tell the wrong story. Revenue doesn't match your store, campaigns get credit they didn't earn, and decisions about budget, products and your website are made on unreliable data. Ad platforms that import GA4 conversions inherit the same errors.

    • Missing or duplicate purchase events
    • Incorrect revenue, currency or transaction IDs
    • Ecommerce events with incomplete item parameters
    • GA4 and ecommerce platform reports that don't match
    • Payment gateways and other referrals taking credit for sales
    • Tracking that broke after a website or checkout change
    • Events configured with the wrong names or parameters
    • Consent choices limiting what GA4 can measure

    GA4 services

Each project is scoped to your website and reporting needs. These are the areas I work on, individually or as a full GA4 implementation.

    GA4 setup & configuration

A GA4 property configured for how your business actually works, not just the default settings.

    • Property and data stream configuration
    • Enhanced measurement settings
    • Internal traffic configuration
    • Cross-domain measurement where required

    GA4 ecommerce tracking

The full set of recommended ecommerce events. Each one needs a correct items array with consistent item IDs, plus currency and value, and purchases need a unique transaction ID so GA4 can report revenue accurately and ignore duplicates.

    • view_item, view_item_list, select_item
    • add_to_cart, remove_from_cart, view_cart
    • begin_checkout, add_shipping_info, add_payment_info
    • purchase and refund

    Google Tag Manager integration

GA4 implemented through GTM so it's documented, testable and easy to extend.

    • GTM-based GA4 implementation
    • DataLayer planning
    • Event and parameter mapping
    • Trigger and variable configuration
    Google Tag Manager consulting

GA4 conversion & key event tracking

The actions that matter to your business, marked as key events so they appear in reports and can be used in Google Ads.

    • Form submissions and lead generation
    • Purchases
    • Calls and booking interactions
    • Custom business events

    GA4 audits & troubleshooting

A review of your current GA4 and GTM setup to find out why the data looks wrong, then fixing the cause.

    • Missing and duplicate events
    • Incorrect parameters
    • Attribution issues
    • Referral exclusions and cross-domain problems

    GA4 server-side tracking

Sending GA4 events through a server container you control. It can make data collection more dependable, but it doesn't remove every source of measurement loss.

    • Server-side GTM architecture
    • Stape.io and Google Cloud options
    • Server-side event forwarding
    • Consent-aware measurement
    Server-side tracking setup

    GA4 & Google Ads integration

Connecting GA4 and Google Ads so conversions and audiences are shared correctly.

    • Account linking
    • Conversion measurement
    • Relevant event configuration
    • Troubleshooting conversion discrepancies

    Consent Mode & privacy-aware analytics

Configuring GA4 to respect visitor consent. Consent Mode lets Google adjust measurement to consent choices; it doesn't recover all the data from visitors who decline.

    • Consent signals from your cookie banner
    • Consent-aware tag firing

    My GA4 implementation process

    01

    Discovery & tracking audit

I learn how your website and business model work, review your existing analytics and agree your measurement requirements.

    02

    Measurement plan

We define the events, parameters, key events and ecommerce requirements GA4 needs to capture.

    03

    Implementation

I configure GA4, Google Tag Manager and the dataLayer integrations your website needs.

    04

    Testing & debugging

Events are tested in GTM Preview, GA4 DebugView and browser network tools.

    05

    Verification & documentation

I verify event payloads, transaction IDs, revenue and key parameters, then document the setup.

    Platforms supported

The implementation method depends on what each platform allows: access to page code, checkout pages, order data and customer events.

    Shopify

GA4 ecommerce built around Shopify's customer events and checkout limitations, using GTM where it fits.

    Shopify conversion tracking

    WooCommerce

A dataLayer for store events sent through GTM, avoiding overlapping plugins that send duplicate purchases.

    WordPress

GTM-based GA4 tracking for forms, bookings, calls and key pages on non-store WordPress sites.

    Webflow

GTM added through custom code, with form and interaction tracking configured for GA4.

    Custom websites

A dataLayer specification your developers implement, or that I implement with access to the code.

    Other ecommerce & CMS platforms

Other platforms are supported where they allow GTM or a dataLayer; the approach is confirmed during the audit.

    What you receive

    • GA4 property and event configuration
    • Ecommerce tracking implementation where applicable
    • Google Tag Manager configuration
    • Event and parameter documentation
    • Testing and verification
    • Implementation support within the agreed project scope

    GA4 work from client projects

Published case studies where GA4 was part of the tracking I implemented.

    Webflow

Webflow Meta, Google Ads & GA4 tracking

The site had no structured tracking, missing conversion data and inconsistent numbers between platforms. I implemented GA4 alongside Meta Pixel and Conversions API and Google Ads conversion tracking, using GTM web and server containers on Stape.io.

    Read the Webflow case study
    Multilingual site

Skybooks multilingual Meta, GA4 & CAPI tracking

Conversions had to be tracked consistently across Latvian, English and Russian pages, with forms, quote requests, Calendly bookings and WhatsApp clicks. I built a centralised GTM setup with language-aware triggers reporting into one event schema, and mapped those events into GA4 conversions.

    Frequently asked questions

What does a GA4 consultant do?

A GA4 consultant plans, implements and maintains Google Analytics 4 tracking. That includes configuring the property, defining events and key events, implementing ecommerce tracking, usually through Google Tag Manager, and testing that the data matches what really happens on your website.

Can you set up GA4 using Google Tag Manager?

Yes. Most of my GA4 implementations use GTM, with a planned dataLayer, mapped events and parameters, and documented triggers and variables, so the setup is easy to test and extend.

Can you implement GA4 ecommerce tracking for Shopify?

Yes. On Shopify I work within its customer events and checkout limitations to send ecommerce events, including purchases with item data, value, currency and transaction ID. The exact method depends on your store's setup.

Can you fix missing or duplicate GA4 purchase events?

Yes. Duplicates usually come from more than one tag, app or plugin sending purchase, or a thank-you page that fires again on reload. Missing purchases often come from checkout changes, redirects or broken triggers. I find the cause and fix it, including using transaction IDs so duplicates can be identified.

Why does GA4 revenue differ from Shopify or WooCommerce?

Some difference is normal. GA4 only records purchases from visitors whose browser sends the event, and consent choices, ad blockers, refunds, taxes, shipping and currency settings all affect the totals. Large or growing gaps usually point to a tracking problem worth auditing.

Can you configure GA4 for WooCommerce?

Yes. I implement WooCommerce ecommerce tracking through a dataLayer and GTM, and remove overlapping plugins that send the same events twice.

What is the difference between GA4 events and key events?

Every interaction GA4 records is an event. Key events are the events you mark as most important to your business, such as purchases, leads or bookings. They're highlighted in reports and can be imported into Google Ads as conversions.

Can you set up GA4 server-side tracking?

Yes. I set up server-side GTM on Stape.io or Google Cloud and forward GA4 events through it, with consent-aware configuration. It can make collection more dependable, but it doesn't eliminate all measurement loss.

Can you connect GA4 with Google Ads?

Yes. I link the accounts, configure the relevant events and key events, and help troubleshoot differences between GA4 and Google Ads conversion numbers.

How much does GA4 implementation cost?

It depends on your website platform, your tracking requirements, the number of events and how complex the implementation is. Share your project details on the contact page and I'll reply with a quote.
